Verdict
Sir Michael Stoute's RACY is bound to be popular with backers following an improved effort when dropped back to the minimum trip at Leicester last week when finding just Monsieur Joe too good and he can go one better off just a 1lb higher mark today, getting the vote ahead of The Strig and Little Garcon. Marco Botti's gelding has done little wrong this term including on his first effort back on turf at Haydock last week when a close second to Sunraider and he has every chance off just a 1lb higher mark today. Tim Easterby's Confessional should appreciate the return to the minimum having not been disgraced when third behind Swilly Ferry in a decent contest here over six furlongs last time. Russian Rock is closely matched with Confessional on that running and is another to consider although a bigger threat may come from The Strig. Only narrowly beaten by Tom Folan here last time, the Stuart Williams-trained gelding has every chance off just a 2lb higher mark today. More solid claims are held by Racy though and he can give Sir Michael Stoute another winner.
