In depth

Verdict

Six of these won their latest starts in maiden company and the betting may give some clues. Spring Jig won over 1m2f at Brighton and gets first-time headgear though was earlier beaten by Ghayyar on the July course here. Hersigh was successful at Chelmsford but steps up in trip along with rest of these including Yarmouth winner Desert Skyline. The latter pair are preferred to Je Suis Charlie and Ode To Glory but a speculative vote goes to FIRST QUEST. He scored over a mile at Sandown last time and should be in the mix again with Ryan Moore’s presence taking the eye.
