    Verdict

Ekhtiyaar will no doubt improve for last month’s comeback when second at Doncaster ahead of Holmeswood but is upped a grade for this. Jim Crowley may not be able to do the weight on the latter but still has strong claims on EQTIRAAN (NAP), who went close in a similar sprint over track and trip a fortnight ago and is fancied to go one better today. Wick Powell never threatened in the All-Weather Championship Sprint at Lingfield last month while Quench Dolly has a 13lb hike in the weights to contend with after dotting up on her last couple of starts. A winner at Bath, Esprit De Corps makes his handicap bow while Nautical Haven passed the post first in a race at Chelmsford that was subsequently voided.
