      Verdict

This is an impossible race to fathom, with all bar two having had a run, so only a cursory vote goes to Free Fallin ahead of Badalona, Kashmina, Miss Delila, Tomorrow's World and Victoria Valentine. All those named hail from stables well used to churning out decent juvenile winners, none more so this season than Peter Chapple-Hyam, responsible for Free Fallin. The daughter of Desert Prince holds no fancy entries at present but is sure to have been well prepared, so we can expect a good showing. It has taken time for Michael Bell's two -year-olds to hit form, but they are now starting to bloom, and so Badalona is worth noting as she is related to stacks of winners. Kashmina has been entered for the Tattersalls October Auction Stakes back here in the autumn and is another young lady with potential, while Miss Delila is pencilled in for a big sales race at Doncaster later in the year. Tomorrow's World, a half-sister to Desert Dreamer, and Victoria Valentine, mid-division in a class 3 on her debut, are others to note, but in an impossible race to fathom, Free Fallin is taken to make a winning start.
