    Verdict

Tawaafud gets a narrow vote over Distinctive Look, with the likes of Anemometer, Fantastich and Hot Baby worth a mention. This looks a race to keep an eye on with a view to the future, but the fact that Tawafaad finished in front of Distinctive Look on her debut here leans us towards Barry Hills's filly. The pair were sent off as joint favourites in that seven furlong contest in August, but they both found Manbala too good. Tawaafud did have a length and a half in hand then, and if they both improve at the same rate, then the latter should come out on top again. The Godolphin juveniles are ticking over nicely, so any support for Anemometer should be noted, but we prefer the claims of Fantastich for a place at least. The daughter of Fantastic Light was noted putting in strong late work behind Auction Room on her Chepstow bow, and looks one to follow over further next season. It would be no surprise if she went close today, although the Hills stable have aline to work on through Auction Room. Hot Baby represents a stable that we know can get them ready first time, and of course Fleeting Memory, owned by The Queen, is yet another to note. There should be plenty of future winners coming out of this, but for now we shall rely on Tawaafud.
