Verdict

Toylsome is an interesting contender however Cesare acts on any ground and he gets the nod ahead of Candidato Roy and Jeremy. The selection is a proven performer in Group races and only went down by a length and a half in the Queen Elizabeth II stakes which is form that stands out here. The six-year-old is reunited with Jamie Spencer and he can win despite carrying top weight. Miss Lucifer is improving with every start but along with Lovelace needs to improve with this further step up in class. Pride Of Nation likes the ground and should get the good pace that will make him competitive at the finish. Jeremy is a classy performer when at his best but he is a tad quirky and may have preferred quicker ground. Toylsome finished in front of him last time out and the German-trained horse warrants plenty of respect on ground that is sure to suit. At a price Candidato Roy could go well given his brave all the way win last time out when racing on his own, however Cesare has a touch of class and gets the vote.
