Verdict
Bookiesindex Boy, Windjammer and Dowlleh make the short list in the finale, with the selection being Dowlleh. Dowlleh is a seven-furlong winner on soft ground and, much as he has been rarely tried at the minimum trip, ran well over it at Bath last autumn. He could go well in a modest heat. Bookiesindex Boy is entitled to be competitive at this level from his current rating, although he has no soft-ground form to his name, while Windjammer also lacks form with ease in it but, having run well off a two-pounds lower mark recently, his profile is also one that suggests, we feel, that he could go well today, although he clearly likes top-of-the ground going. There is not too much strength amongst the others although, as ever, take a look at the betting. The selection, though, is Dowlleh.
