Verdict

Intrepidly is raised in class off a higher mark after scoring at Windsor recently but remains unexposed and should go well again. Valcartier is a similar type and also raced at Windsor last time when narrowly beaten on his handicap debut but it could pay to stick with the unbeaten CONTANGO. The latter followed a winning debut at Leicester with a cosy victory over today’s trip at Chester and Andrew Balding’s charge is taken to defy a 6lb rise. Rubens Dream has a shout if this extra distance suits but Jamacho faces a tougher task in this higher grade.
