In depth

Verdict

BOOGIE SHOES looked one to follow when beating Whiplash Willie easily over 1m2f at Salisbury and though things haven't quite worked out subsequently he's been dropped in class and should have the pace for this shorter trip. Polish World does best over Beverley's stiff track and has gone up another 6lb for last month's success. He'll find this tougher but Mahedee has dropped to a very lenient mark after a barren spell and showed signs of a revival at Goodwood. The three-year-old Cruiser isn't the most reliable but would have a fine chance on his head second to Directorship at Ascot in July. Chapter And Verse hasn't won on Turf for over two years and has better recent form on Polytrack.
