    Verdict

EUSTON SQUARE and Summers Target set the standard and with fitness assured it is the first-mentioned who is preferred; Pumpkin needs a check also. The selection comes here on the back of three runs, including two recent bronze medal finishes at Lingfield and over this course and distance. He has no problem with this quick ground and is taken to win it. Summers Target is rated one pound superior and he is interesting as he went close on his debut. The return to seven furlongs will suit and he is an obvious player. Hopefully backers won't be up on the roof if Soldier Soldier loses, as despite the application of a visor, his performances so far suggest he probably will. The most interesting newcomers look to be Adoring (a well-related daughter of One Cool Cat), Big Heart (a very expensive US-bred purchase) and Diktat Queen (representing a great trainer of fillies in Rae Guest). Improvement can be expected from Pumpkin and Regeneration, but it is Euston Square who is fancied to lead them home.
