Verdict
A tricky little event to close proceedings at Newmarket with just about enough racecourse form to offer Melrose Place as the TEAMtalk selection in his bid to land a hat-trick. His last two victories were achieved with a bit in hand beating good sorts in Ikan and Hey Presto. Red Wizard has put in some consistent performances this season and looks on a handy mark. Those who like to back the most experienced horse in this type of event might get a decent price about Clan A Cougar who has been running well in defeat of late. Ikan is strictly weighted to reverse form with the selection but the ease of the selection's win at Bath suggests otherwise.
