Proud Chieftain hasn't won for two years and is now on exactly the same mark. Barwick is stepping up in class after landing two class 4 handicaps and has a 5lb rise to contend with while Missed Call, who would have a chance on his early season form, ran poorly when last here in July. Almerzem hadn't shown much until easily landing a handicap at Kempton last week for which he's penalised but Oasis Dancer is still capable of further improvement and should be up to reaching the frame after running credibly in better company. DANCE OF HEROES was returning from a six-month break at Sandown last month and looked the likely winner until running out of steam. With that under his belt and a longer trip he's taken to land this under William Buick.
