        Verdict

MOOTRIBA is the pick at these weights and is taken to prevail ahead of Statute Book and Fajita. Despite being bred in the purple (half-sister to Mukbher by Nayef), William Haggas's filly has yet to really excel in four starts. She has worn the blinkers on all of her runs to date but she should appreciate the return to a mile and is taken to get off the mark. Fajita looks a big danger and his trainer does well in selling and claiming races, whilst Statute Book has to give 9lb away to all of his rivals and although he is the best horse on official ratings, he does need to forget his latest start at Kempton and can be passed over. Barbarian was disappointing last time out, and is now dropped in class, whilst Granksi and Golden Flight have a little to find at the weights but cannot be ignored. An open race here, where hopefully Mootriba can gain her first success.
