In depth

Verdict

Izzi Mill may be able to build on the promise of her Nottingham debut and land this contest although there's clearly a plethora of dangers. The maiden that the selection ran in at Nottingham appeared to be a warm contest for the track and she made eyecatching late headway to be beaten just 2 lengths despite a slow start. She should be wiser now and may be able to put that experience to good use. Miss Fritton failed to fire on debut but was a well backed favourite and may be capable of better as may Bobbie Soxer and Hosanna. However, of more interest is Resort as Sir Michael Stoute usually aims one of his best fillies at this race. He's won it with Enthused and Russian Rhythm and sent out Visit to finish second in the race last year. He's only saddled two juvenile runners so far this season, neither have won, and Resort is likely to be priced up on this record so will be short enough to oppose. Arctic Freedom looks the part on paper, It's Toast is a half-sister to Dream Eater and Stylish Dream is also superbly bred but is likely to benefit from the outing. This is usually a very strong race, this year looks to be no exception and Izzi Mill couldn't be a confident selection but may prove better value than Resort.
