    Verdict

Malacca Straits and Tameen both finished well beaten in the maiden that three runners from the first race fared better in, so their performances in the 13:50 will be a good pointer to the winner of this race. That said, neither horse did enough to get our vote which instead goes to LUCKY MEADOWS. RIchard Hannon has a fine record with juveniles at the track and this filly is a half-sister to a horse who won over the trip on debut so providing there's market support she's worth chancing. Scented is from a lovely family and Philip Robinson is an eye-catching booking but she'll do better when sent beyond a mile and William Haggas has a poor record with two-year-olds here. Havant is a half-sister to several classy sorts, amongst whom features Group One winner Leadership, but even he couldn't win on debut and she's opposed this time with an eye on the future.
