Verdict

John Gosden has won four of the last six renewals including with a three-year-old last year. He runs Ben Vrackie and SEVENNA STAR (NAP) today with Frankie preferring the latter despite disappointing efforts since winning the Classic Trial at Sandown back in April. There’s plenty of stamina in his pedigree and he gets a chance to put his recent form behind him. Ryan Moore rides last year’s runner-up Nearly Caught despite the presence of Ballydoyle’s Saracen Knight and the former could go close again despite carrying a penalty for an earlier success in the Listed Esher Stakes at Sandown. Sheikhzayedroad and St Michel have not been at their best in tougher staying races recently and The Tartan Spartan is even harder to fancy.
