Verdict

Lexi's Hero stole a march on his rivals when making all at Chester last time and another bold bid from the front looks on the cards, while Avonmore Star continues to run well without getting his head in front. Desert Law showed ability last year and could figure, but another lightly-raced sort in L'AMI LOUIS is preferred. He got off the mark at Salisbury last time, beating a subsequent winner, and Henry Candy's gelding looks capable of better still on his handicap debut. El Viento had Remotelinx behind when runner-up over C&D and is preferred to his stablemates What About You and Majestic Myles, while Apollo D'Negro could make the frame.
