In depth

Verdict

Plenty with a chance and though Alrahaal only won a maiden race at Beverley last time he wasn’t beaten far in a handicap before that. Ghost Serge only landed a claimer at Leicester and will find this tougher while Balgair is upped a grade after scoring at Brighton. FAKE NEWS faced a stiff task in Class 2 company over 7f here last time but gave the impression today’s trip would suit when winning at Wolverhampton earlier and David Barron’s charge gets the vote in an open affair. Medieval also drops in class but is out of form while Bacacarat is preferred to Mr Tyrrell in this grade.
