Verdict
Di Fede ran in the Chesham Stakes at Ascot but was predictably outclassed. The Kempton winner may enjoy better luck on her handicap debut but will have to give 4lb to JOE’S SPIRIT taking into account Cameron Noble’s claim. The latter was noted staying on over 6f at Ascot last time and is probably the one to beat if he lasts home as the others have only displayed modest form to date. General Zoff appears to be improving with experience, however, and Another Day Of Sun did win at Thirsk last month.
