Queen's Best is likely to be plenty short enough following an encouraging debut effort but given that Sir Michael Stoute's two-year-olds normally improve significantly for their first start he gets the vote ahead of Danawi and Capistrano. The last mentioned showed only a modicum of ability on his Newbury debut last month but should step up on that performance now that he encounters a softer surface. Peter Chapple-Hyam's youngsters have tended to need the run first time out and his runner Conservation is likely to do better on a faster surface anyway, while African Concerto has more experience than most but the going is an unknown quantity. The Michael Jarvis-trained Compromiznotension is an interesting newcomer and a market move would be of interest although a bigger threat is likely to come from Danawi, who showed improved form behind Namid Reprobate at Windsor last time. Queen's Best created a favourable impression on her Nottingham debut though and is taken to go one better today.
