    Verdict

DAFEEF did enough on debut to think that he can progress to win an average maiden but the likes of Noafal, Sard and Pirate's Song have been given some choice entries. Dafeef appears to be the stable's first string although his stablemate, Saboteur, looks the part on paper as one might expect. The selection showed signs of inexperience at Salisbury but he made good headway to chase home a well backed winner and the form of the race should stand up. Lean Machine was no match for Silver Grecian on debut and may not have found the underfoot conditions ideal when turned over at Salisbury. The winner, however, is useful and has gone on to take third in a Listed race to boost Lean Machine's claims. Noafal and Sard represent a yard who can ready a newcomer and both hold Group race entries as does Bonheurs Art although that seems optimistic on the evidence so far. The two newcomers are by Bahamian Bounty as is Mill Reef entry Pirate's Song whilst Guest Book also has plenty of speed in his pedigree as a son of Green Desert. As ever the market will be useful but we'll opt for Dafeef.
