In depth

Verdict

Mosharref is taken to land the finale with High Command and Great Hawk the pair most likely to chase him home. The selection looks a potentially very smart colt and having finished second in the Wood Ditton on his debut he has built on that and was an impressive winner last time at Sandown when he beat South Cape. He looked like one to stay on the right side of that day and he gets the vote. High Command rates the main danger as he is another improving type and he won well last time at Yarmouth when beating Folio. If he gets the strong pace that he needs then he will be a danger to all. Great Hawk was an emphatic winner on the all-weather at Kempton last time when he beat one of today's rivals Acrobatic. He is not one to dismiss lightly but his overall form on the turf has been a bit disappointing and for that reason we will pass him over. Acrobatic may be a bit high in the weights now and for the winner we are happy to stick with Mosharref.
