Verdict

It may pay to look away from the principals in a very tight handicap and KINGS'N'DREAMS can prove the pick, with Miss Polly Plum and Lutine Bell others to consider. Lutine Bell was doing all his best work at the finish on his seasonal bow over six furlongs, and this promising type looks sure to benefit from the outing as well as the extra furlong. Miss Polly Plum is taking her chance from 5lbs out of the handicap but she should not be overlooked. Still a maiden in nine starts, she ran well on her only previous effort on Turf, and chased home a subsequent winner when just touched off last time. The gelded son of Royal Applause, Kings'n'dreams, has shown ability in most of his starts to date, and is less exposed then most of his rivals. The handicapper has dropped him 1lb despite finishing just behind a subsequent winner when fourth at Kempton. That appears generous, and Kings'n'dreams can rule here and keep the nightmares away.
