          Verdict

          Hearthstead Wings can land the finale at the expense of a whole host of dangers including Come On Jonny, Flight of Esteem and Soulacroix. Hearthstead Wings absolutely bolted up at Hamilton on Monday, beating the so called 'good thing' Tempsford to the tune of 15 lengths no less in the rain-softened ground. That victory suggests that Mark Johnston's three-year-old is right back to his best after a number of defeats this season. He is sure to be hit by the handicapper for that latest effort, so his trainer will be happy to turn him out quickly with a six-pound penalty here and he should make a bold bid to make all once again under Kevin Darley. Come On Jonny was beaten by the selection's stablemate Leo's Luckyman at Doncaster recently, but may well keep him company and could well be the one to follow him home. Flight of Esteem ran third on the all-weather last time but hails from a stable that it has paid to follow in the main, while Soulacroix, Nessen Dorma and Jack of Trumps are all place possibles. Well Established is the dark horse, having landed a Sandown maiden over 10 furlongs quite easily, and this former Derby entry may well be a blot on the handicap, but we prefer to side with the more battle-hardened Hearthstead Wings.
