      Verdict

Stars And Stripes was soon beaten when favourite at Windsor last time and is now tried in blinkers. He's become expensive to follow and ALKAWN looks a more reliable prospect. He's been a bit unlucky not to have got his head in front and should have been freshened up by a break. John Gosden also runs Abertillery, who was fourth over 7f here on his second start, while the selection's owner is also represented by newcomers Musharrif and Tartoor. Headquarters only found one too good at Doncaster earlier this month and Nosey Barker has been knocking on the door. Sky Cape may need this but is still preferred to the filly Overheard of the others.
