Quaddick Lake was put up 10lb after winning at Worcester in July and, after a couple of placed efforts since, is up another 5lb here. That looks harsh and we'll take him on with the mare PETIT FLEUR, who has been knocking on the door this summer and was only beaten a length-and-a-quarter over 2m5f at Southwell last time. On The Bridge is chasing a hat-trick and scored over C&D last month but he's never looked like winning off this sort of mark in the past. Makena is starting to look well handicapped but will have to run better than he did at Stratford last time.
