In depth

Verdict

Lord Strickland who won well over course and distance last time out when defeating Calan Lan by four lengths is taken to defy his penalty and score again with conditions again in his favour. Asgan has been in top form of late but he looked one paced over this trip last time out and he may be seen to better advantage over further. Tyne Will Tell looks the main danger despite top weight but he does have a long absence to overcome. Watership Down looks the only other conceivable winner but he needs to brush up on his jumping to score.
