Verdict
Mighty Leader is likely to prove popular off a decent mark as he reverts to handicap company but this is a harder assignment than the novice chase in which he scored recently. He's won around here too but PETROU is preferred. It's no surprise to see the Skelton inmate back over fences as his penultimate run when an excellent second in a competitive Aintree handicap chase reads well, as does much of his chase back form. Trip and ground are fine. Southfield Vic has also won here, has a first start since last October and stable inmates rarely want for fitness after an absence. He merits respect along with Tempestatefloresco, who turns up on the back of an unplaced effort at Royal Ascot of all places. He'll be much more at home back jumping fences.
