In depth

Verdict

A large-field bumper in which the market should tell us what to expect from the newcomers. Royal runner Steal A March will prove popular with his handler boasting such a good record in these contests while Carys' Commodity and Perfect Percy are other debutants to take the eye on paper. Of those with form, Eros shaped pleasingly when a staying-on sixth of 16 at Chepstow last month and should come on for that but THE SWAGMAN may make experience tell. He failed to make it to the track when in the care of Aidan O'Brien but has shown ability on all three starts, notably on debut - Aidan Coleman is a good jockey booking.
