Verdict
Dereks' run in the previous race could be a pointer to the chances of Tamarillo Grove, second to his stablemate here last month but beaten twice since. Erdeli arguably ran his best race so far over C&D when runner-up to King Olav and has claims, while Cardinal James has been knocking on the door. There are also possibilities about Maid Of Silk, who won at Uttoxeter in May and wasn't disgraced on a return visit there last month. But it may be worth sticking with SHADOW'S GOLD, who only won a seller at Stratford last month but is still relatively lightly-raced and could be capable of better.
