In depth

Verdict

Not a lot of form to go on so the market should prove the most informative guide but in the absence of such information, Papa's Boy George is selected in preference to Perdiem and Peveril Pandora. Related to a number of previous winners, Papa's Boy George cost 60 000 guineas at the sales and is the type who could do better over further in time. Perdiem represents a yard that have had a couple of winners of late. She was well beaten on his most recent start and could be vulnerable to more unexposed types. Peveril Pandora has a very much flat led pedigree and with Jonathan Geake's stable finally returning into some semblance of form, it would be folly to discount her given the amount of weight she receives all around. Living The Dream is a son of championship stayer, Double Trigger while Wadham Hill's third takes no account of the distance beaten on the day. Papa's Boy George is unlikely to be a great price but looks the most solid option among today's starters.
