In depth

Verdict

A very open handicap to start proceedings and Lutea can kickstart a good evening for Martin Pipe, Tommy spar and Timidjar are also expected to run well. This son of Beneficial had taken on some good opposition before easily landing a seller here last time. He steps up in trip tonight but it shouldn't be a problem as he looked a stayer when landing two bumpers. Tommy Spar is from a top yard and has shown ability in the past. He is steadily dropping down the handicap and should show up well in this company. Timidjar landed a three mile seller at Taunton in April but found the trip too short at Hereford next time. This test of stamina will be ideal and he looks a good each-way prospect. Top-weight Lucky Do looks the pick of the remainder, but Lutea is hard to ignore in this company and is a confident choice.
