Verdict

Achimota has won at Bangor and Doncaster since the turn of the year but is now on a career-high mark. Golden Chieftain, on the other hand, can't get much lower in the weights but hasn't been finishing off his races while Ballypatrick blotted his copy-book last time. Big Society has been the joint favourite in all three starts this campaign but isn't getting any nearer. Peter Bowen's string is back in form and his VELATOR (NAP) could be the answer to this. He won over course and distance in September and was only beaten a length last time at Kelso - Sean Bowen is excellent value for his 5lb claim. Saroque may still be a few pounds too high and Farbreaga is hard to catch right.
