Verdict
A wide open bumper and the market is sure to prove the best guide. Philip, Hobbs has a strong hand in this contest and we will take a chance on the well bred newcomer Bertibanoo. The gelding is reportedly held in high regard and he is taken to score in a race full of imponderables. His stable companion Gentle Beau is sure to have his supporters with Tony McCoy taking the ride and he showed enough on his debut to suggest he can win a race of this nature. Torche is another that showed promise on his debut when fourth but a look at his pedigree suggests he will be seen to better effect over further. Heron's Ghyll won well last time out but he may struggle under his penalty.
