Magical Thomas finished ahead of Ingenuity at Stratford last month but was a place behind Sopat at Bangor subsequently. He would, however, have an excellent chance in a race like this if reproducing his second at Fontwell in the spring when 5lb higher. Pokari made a pleasing reappearance here in June and Court Dancer won at Uttoxeter last month. Kim Bailey runs two with GERARD MENTOR, who has caught the eye on a couple of occasions, preferred to Grey Flint even though David Bass partners the latter.
