In depth

Verdict

RASHFORD’S DOUBLE (NAP) has notched up a couple of handicap wins at Newcastle. Carrying 6lb extra today but dropping down a grade, Richard Fahey’s colt can continue his upward curve having scored by three lengths last week. Phoenix Dawn is another dropped in class after a recent success in soft ground at Windsor and he can figure while Tap Tap Boom was a length ahead of Star Maker when scoring over 7f at Newmarket. Sassoferrato and Darkroom Angel are others upped in distance today and Cotinga and Ettihadi are handicap newcomers to note.
