Verdict

Acaster Malbis' second at Newbury in the autumn is easily the best form on offer in this maiden but it is a concern that he's already had four runs. Galeotti was beaten in a four-runner race at Lingfield on his second start while Mystical Spirit has been beaten twice on the all-weather and will have to prove he handles this surface. Occult very much caught the eye at Doncaster last month, however, and will know more today. The latter's trainer, John Gosden, also runs the newcomer ALKAWN, however, and he gets a tentative vote. A full brother to a 6f and 7f winner and a half-brother to others who stayed further, the Dubawi gelding will know what's required and is well drawn if getting away on terms.
