Verdict

The penny dropped with BLACK GRANITE last month as he followed a win at Salisbury with a cosy success in a Class 2 contest at Newmarket. Jeremy Noseda's charge has a 9lb hike to contend with but there looks more to come. Crafty Choice has been raised 11lb having also scored at headquarters last time and maiden winners Khusoosy and Shalimah look bigger threats. The handicapper had seemingly caught up with Alans Pride until he went close at Ayr on his latest start and he's another to consider in a wide-open contest.
