A wide open contest rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the main protagonists look to be Empangeni, Northern Nymph and Explosive Fox and the vote is given to Empangeni. The selection won well last time out when beating Cantrip. Granted he has a penalty for that win but he looks a progressive sort and under similar conditions here he is taken to win again. Northern Nymph rates the main danger on his latest third behind Feed The Meeter he looks sure to benefit from this longer trip and should be noted in the market. Explosive Fox is another worthy of respect on his latest effort which saw him finish third behind Let It Be but his best efforts have come on very fast ground and for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Bobby Kennard ran well after a long absence last time and he is another that has place claims now he steps up to a more suitable trip but he looks weighted up to his best. Of the remainder Rouge Et Noir won well last time out but this looks tougher and he may struggle under a penalty while Danebank is from a shrewd yard and should be noted in the market but for the winner we return to the progressive Empangeni.
