        Verdict

        Sonoma, Soltango and Race The Ace are three against the field in this open handicap and the tentative vote goes to Soltango. The selection was a fair third behind Loves Travelling last time out and despite top weight with conditions again in his favour he is taken to score. Sonoma rates the main danger he won well last time out when defeating Spitting Image but that was on fast ground and he would not want any more rain. Race The Ace is another worthy of respect on his latest second behind Schapiro but he is not the most consistent and for that reason he is opposed. Of the remainder Disabuse is stepping up in trip and is worth noting in the market while Stocking Island has dropped to a handy mark but for the winner we return to Soltango.
