In depth

Bittern scored at Pontefract last time and should go well again despite a 5lb rise. But Luca Cumani has a fine strike rate with three-year-old runners at this venue and FRENZIFIED (NAP) gets the vote. She won a classified event at Salisbury recently and further progress is expected now handicapping. Mikandy ended last year with a double on the all-weather but Solstalla is preferred on her latest fourth over track and trip. Tingleo seemed not stay the 1m4f at Beverley last time but June has more scope than stablemate Avenue Du Monde of the Hannon runners and could figure. Phyllis Maud made a winning start at Bath in September and is one to note in the betting on her return while Faith Matters goes handicapping for the first time.
