Verdict
An interesting contest in which Steve Gollings' consistent dual purpose performer Local Hero would be the selction if divrted from Ascot. His first preference is for the Berkshire track, however, so the vote goes to KORNGOLD. The latter disappointed when backed as though defeat were out of the question at Thirsk but could be a different proposition here with that run under his belt. The consistent Halla San may have reached double figures in terms of age but has staged something of a revival lately and looks the main threat.
