      Verdict

      Stepturn will almost certainly improve on his debut run at Windsor but it's difficult to get away from REX IMPERATOR here. Roger Charlton's colt only found Compton too good on his introduction at the same track earlier this year and the winner was a good second in a better race earlier this week. Heartsong showed the benefit of her first run when third at Leicester next time but may have to settle for a place again here.
