      Verdict

      The vote goes to Glenmuir in the opener. The son of Josr Algarhoud is preferred to Aboyne and Zato, who are also going the right way and should make this a good test. Tent is an interesting newcomer that is related to a European sprint-race winner, but appeals as a prospect to bear in mind when he tackles slightly further. Zato improved for his debut to win comfortably at Brighton 19 days ago. He benefited greatly from the way that contest panned out and he won as he liked in the end. He faces stiffer opposition here but is entitled to take his chance. Aboyne won well on his debut but was well held next time up. However, that form is working out well in the context of this race and could well bounce back if he handles this firmer ground. Nevertheless, preference goes to Glenmuir, who quickly had the measure of Getbuzzin at Kempton last month. A fair effort at this track followed two weeks ago, when the selection looked as if he was already in need of this step up in trip. Rod Millman has his string in good order at present and, with this better ground expected to bring the best out of him, Glenmuir just edges the vote today.
