Verdict

Sister Act can complete a quick double for James Fanshawe at the main expense of Ionian and First Buddy whilst newcomer Pivotal Answer needs a check in the market. The selection ran with a great deal of promise on her debut over seven furlongs at Newbury and now stepped up a furlong in trip, this sister to Soviet Song looks sure to mount a bold bid today. The ground holds no fears given the way she quickened well on debut and she must be hard to beat in this average maiden. Ionian shaped with plenty of promise on debut at Wolverhampton although this step up to mile may be a tad too far at this stage of his career. Henry Cecil's Handset drops in trip after disappointing last time out whilst Alan Swinbank's Flagstone is another who drops in trip, this time by half a mile. Connections are struggling to find his trip but watch him for confidence in the betting. First Buddy was a beaten favourite last time out and doesn't look one for maximum confidence, however another winter may have done him some good and he cannot be ruled out. At a price Indigo Rose could go well, however Sister Act can build on her debut run and score today.
