In depth
Verdict
AMBITIOUS ICARUS has already had seven runs this term but he loves it here and has been running well enough lately to suggest he can take advantage of the fact that he's 4lb lower than his last winning mark. Another course and distance winner, Rainbow Orse, wasn't beaten far on his reappearance at Ripon and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa catches the eye – he makes more appeal than stable companion Indian Tinker. One Boy drops down a grade and is another with decent claims while Oriental Splendour is closely matched with the selection on Pontefract running so has to be respected. Musharrif looks the pick of Tony Carroll's two runners.
