Verdict

Mighty Clarets wins on all kinds of surfaces though his recent good form has been on ground with plenty of give. Harare's latest victory was over 1m4f but he's equally adept at this trip and goes for his twelfth victory on his 92nd start. Honoured scored at Ripon from a mark of 56 and couldn't quite cope when raised 5lb for his next start at Pontefract. He's up another 2lb here though his rider's claim is a help and he holds Market Puzzle on that Ripon run. ZAPLAMATION hasn't won since April 2010 but is invariably thereabouts and Willie Twiston-Davies knows him well having finished runner-up on him at Catterick last month. John Quinn's charge is handed the vote in an open contest.
