In depth

Verdict

NANKEEN made a winning debut when scoring at Windsor. The runner-up has since placed in a handicap and the Crisford charge may well defy a penalty. Professor Calculus showed a big improvement when dropped back to 7f at Salisbury while Western Alliance placed at Wolverhampton on last year’s debut. Bumper winner C'mon Kenny debuts on the Flat while the Godolphin newcomer Big Meeting is related to a winner in France but his yard remains in the doldrums.
