          Verdict

          The Strig remains on a winning mark despite a 6lb rise for his recent victory at Yarmouth and makes more appeal than Cape Royal, who scored over C&D a fortnight ago and is 5lb higher today. Black Annis Bower was engaged to run at Catterick yesterday, but went close over track and trip before that with Style And Panache and Above The Stars further back. She'll make another bold bid if taking part but IGOYOUGO is preferred. Noel Wilson's charge had Mey Blossom and Nomoreblondes behind when finding only one too good at Redcar recently and looks set to strike off his current mark.
