Verdict

MY NAME IS BOND can see off a strong British raiding party and keep this prestigious prize in France. He looked a colt of rich potential when winning the Prix La Rochette here in September and will have the gears to cope if this becomes a tactical affair. Wootton Bassett has been a real money-spinner for connections but has developed into a very smart colt in the process. He finished full of running when winning sales races at York and Doncaster but he'd want a good even gallop which is not guaranteed. Treasury Devil has long enjoyed a tall home reputation but needs to step up again from his Sandown conditions race while stablemate and Yarmouth maiden winner Utley has even more to find, despite his obvious potential. King Torus was impressive in winning the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood and that sets a decent standard. Moonlight Cloud represents a top French team and never came off the bridle to win a minor event last time. Like a few in here, he could be anything.
